Progressive hard rock that takes you on a journey through one man's experience in an 18th century madhouse.
Imagine waking up without any memory of who you are. That's the basic premise of Echoes in the Dark, a one hour story about a man who wakes up in a for-profit 18th century madhouse and wants nothing more than to find out who he is how to get out, especially when he notices that the only other inmates he knows of start turning up missing. Thematically, it deals with the idea of identity, how people view themselves, and how they view others.
The music draws from a lot of different inspirations, such as Rush, Genesis, King Crimson, King Diamond, Neil Diamond (okay, maybe not Neil Diamond.) All parts were written and all instruments played by Travis Woyen. Overall, it strikes a balance between taking an adventurous musical approach while maintaining consistency throughout.
