Bonedog Records is pleased to announce the release of "Right Where I Wanna Be" a new CD of self-penned songs by Robert Peckman (BDRCD-36). The 14 track disc is available now.
Robert has been active as a bassist, drummer, singer, recording artist and songwriter for the past 48 years. As a musician he has performed with such noteables as The Starliners (1962-63), The Skyliners (1964-'66), Johnny Daye ('66 to '67), The Groove-U in 1967, The Jaggerz ('70-''71) and Pure Gold (1981-2001) among others. Peckman's recording career began in ernest as lead vocalist on the song “Ya Ya” by Mike and Ike on Acrtic Records in 1965 and of the Sparkz on Bell Records in 1966.
In 1977 he was featured as a songwriter and lead vocalist for the Epic Records group "Q". A single from this album charted as high as #23 in Billboard magazine's "Hot 100". The LP made landed in the top 50. Recently, he can be heard as a featured vocalist for Bonedog Records artists The Hoodoo Drugstore's two CD's (BDRCD-09 & 13).
As a songwriter Robert has witten fo among others, Wet Willie, Pure Gold, "Q", Stevee Wellons and Billy Price Pecky's first Bonedog Records CD "Stirrin' Up Bees" (BDRCD-22) was released in 2007. This CD also featured the return of Stax recording artist Johnny Daye whom "Pecky" had coaxed out of retirement to sing on two of his songs. Johnny hadn't been in a recording studio since his last Stax release in 1968.
