The guitar trio PHILHARMONIE was led by a musician who was before in SHYLOCK. They performed a kind of music made of dialogues and blends of guitars that sometimes evoked Robert FRIPP. Frédéric L'EPEE proves here that he is a gifted musician for experimenting. "Beau Soleil" was recorded in 1990 and was followed by "Les Elephants Carillonneurs" three years later, "Nord" in 1994 and "Rage" in 1996. As its title allowed to speculate, "Le Dernier Mot" ("The Last Word") was really the last album by this line-up in 1999. But what a great album !
