There's plenty of guitar wanking coupled w/ sing along melodies, the idea was a blending of The Smiths and Black Sabbath w/ a splash of The Verve. The record was produced by Jason Martin (of Starflyer 59) and engineered by Randy Rose (of Mad At The World)
