Was columnist of the magazine Blues & Jazz and Guitar Class and cover of the magazine Cover Guitarra.
Born in 1964 in Belo Horizonte and resident of Sгo Josй dos Campos from the six-year-old Lancaster began presenting himself in 1989 in bars in the city, since with a blues work. He studied classical guitar for six years with Mauro Cabral in San Jose, Jazz guitar on Clam in Sao Paulo for five years and in 1994 moved to Los Angeles where he graduated from the Musicians Institute. He worked until the end of 1995 as the Crosby Tyler Quartet member.
Lancaster's sixth CD invites listeners to celebrate good times and the legacy of Chicago Blues. Having dedicated more than 25 years to the genre, Lancaster has a unique message and style. He is one of those rare guitarists who play for the music and not for his ego. His playing is very melodic and places emotions above flashy technique. His identification with masters like B.B. King, Otis Rush, Magic Slim, Magic Sam, Earl Hooker and Lightnin' Hopkins results in a soulful approach that can be heard on the eight original tracks of his new CD and on his version of B.B. King's Slowly Losing My Mind.
Recorded in March and April of 2015, Say Goodbye To Trouble features Lancaster on vocals and guitars, Andrй Machado on drums, Izal de Oliveira on bass and Edu Souza on backing vocals.
