STRINGMAN DELIVERY is an electric/acoustic classic style rock band from San Antonio, TX. Their original rock music is reminiscent of a guitar driven lead style heard from Neil Young and Crazy Horse compositions. Their music is strongly influenced by Neil Young, Tom Petty, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, and other classic folk rockers.
DON STEPHENS is a prolific songwriter, who has released two previous acoustic albums in his own name. With Stringman Delivery they have one other album titled Long Ride Home.
Don has been playing electric and acoustic guitar, piano, bass pedals and harmonica professionally for over thirty years. He began his music career playing coffee houses and clubs in Indiana in the mid-'70s. His sound is heavily influenced by the rock bands and folk artists of that time including Neil Young, Moody Blues, Bob Dylan, Roger McGuinn, Tom Waits and others.
GARY STEPHENS has been playing guitar for a number of years and is quite accomplished on rhythm guitar. Although a young man in his twenties... Gary is a walking encyclopedia on early classic rock songs and the bands that performed them.
MIKE CERNY is on drums. He lays down a beat that is characteristic of Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Other influences include superstar drummers Ginger Baker of Cream, Steve Ferrone from Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, and of course Mr. Buddy Rich. Mike has been playing drums since the '60s... so he's a natural fit for this group.
TERRELL MABRITO is the newest member of Stringman Delivery. Terrell's energetic bass licks and style is reminiscent of the late Jack Bruce. The son of a bassist, Terrell was raised listening to the stuff we play and has a passion for our music.
ERIC ZAWADZKI has mixed sound professionally dating back to the days when Molly Hatchett and Lickety Split toured together. Eric was also the sound engineer for a group called New Math... a band that headlined numerous shows in and around New York and also opened for other major East Coast concert events featuring names like The Plasmatics and The Ramones. Eric's uncanny ear for sound is taking Stringman Delivery to new levels.
