Souped Up Fords are a band driven by the The raunchy vocals of Chris Henry combined with wild guitar melodies held within a framework of driving drums and bass make them a band to watch. They have played blues festivals and gigs all over Scotland and even Fifestock in 2010 whose headliner was Mick Taylor formerly of the Rolling Stones. Guitarist Chris 'guitarrista' Henry says of his own influences 'I've always felt that the blues was something that you felt and you have to be bitten by the bug. Influences are diverse but certainly Rory Gallagher, Otis Rush, Buddy Guy and BB King would be in the top ten. teir first full album. Half Moon Doctor was recorded in Seagate studios in Dundee with guest saxophonist Pete McGlone. The band are gigging material on the CD this year and they have also positioned it on itunes and spotify for potential fans. This CD is cover versions of their favourite songs including the electric 99 1/2 written by Steve Cropper and several originals penned by the band.
